Is Windows 7 missing drivers?
There is nothing more frustrating than a computer that can not print to its printer, scan from its scanner, generate sound with its sound card etc.
Vista users complained bitterly about the lack driver support when the operating system first came out, and some drivers are still not quite right.
Current versions of Windows 7 are reported to be weak in driver support.
This is not surprising as hardware manufactures must develop new drivers with beta versions of the operating system, and it can take considerable time to develop stable drivers for all hardware combinations.
The good news is that Vista drivers are reported to work correctly with Windows 7. At least you can use all hardware on Windows 7 that works correctly with Vista.
Expect Windows 7 to support hardware at least as well as Vista currently does. With luck, Windows 7 will do a better job of adequate driver support than Vista ever did.
What about you? What do you think?
